JAMESTOWN, N.C. — Blanca Cobb, internationally recognized body language and nonverbal communications expert, will give a free talk at noon Wednesday, Nov. 2 on understanding the silent messages in media interviews.

Presented by GTCC’s Communication and Foreign Language Department, Cobb’s talk, “The Impact of Body Language in Mainstream Media,” will be held in the Percy H. Sears Applied Technologies Center auditorium on the GTCC Jamestown Campus, 601 E. Main Street. The event is part of the department’s annual Speakers’ Series, which features local and regional speakers discussing issues related to the communication and foreign language disciplines. The Speakers’ Series is supported by the GTCC Foundation.

Cobb, founder and president of TruthBlazer LLC, uses her behavior analysis expertise and psychology background to break down the complexities of human behavior to get to the truth. She is also a senior instructor at the Body Language Institute in Washington, DC. Cobb is an in-demand media guest, keynote speaker and coach who’s been featured on Dr. Oz, the TODAY Show, HLN’s Dr. Drew On-Call, Good Morning America, CNN, USA Today, FOX, ABC, CBS, NBC affiliates, radio shows across the nation as well as quoted in the New York Daily News, The Root, Cosmopolitan, Red Book, Real Simple and Veja.
