JAMESTOWN, N.C. — Guilford Technical Community College’s Cline Observatory is observing a new start time for its free public viewing sessions. The new start time is 7 p.m. and will be in effect from November through February.
Cline Observatory hosts public viewing sessions on Friday nights throughout the year. Telescopes are set up inside and outside the observatory dome for viewing astronomical objects.
Sessions are held if weather permits and usually last about two hours. Follow Cline Observatory on Twitter @GTCCASTRO for updates. Reservations are not necessary.
Recently, the observatory hit a milestone, celebrating its 25,000th visitor. The facility opened in October 1997. For more information, visit http://observatory.gtcc.edu.
