JAMESTOWN, N.C. — Guilford Technical Community College’s Advertising and Graphic Design program will host its annual Portfolio Review Day 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Wednesday, July 15 at the Community Theater of Greensboro, 520 S. Elm St., Greensboro. The event is free and open to the public.
Portfolio Review Day will showcase the work of approximately 35 GTCC graduate students in the program. The event gives students an opportunity to network with the community and potential employers in the advertising and graphic design industry including local designers, advertising agencies and printer companies.
“It’s an opportunity for our students to make a connection with potential employers and showcase their skills,” said Awilda DeJesús, assistant professor of advertising and graphic design at GTCC.
GTCC’s Advertising and Graphic Design program was one of the original 12 programs when the college opened in 1958. Its annual Portfolio Review Day has been in existence since the 1960s.
Guilford Technical Community College is the third largest of 58 institutions in the North Carolina Community College System. GTCC serves more than 40,000 students annually from five campuses and a Small Business Center. Learn more at www.gtcc.edu.
