GTCC TO CREATE ‘WEEK OF WELCOME’ FOR NEW STUDENTS

JAMESTOWN, N.C. – This August, Guilford Technical Community College will offer a new innovative program for incoming students to increase engagement across the college and help them acclimate to college life.
GTCC’s Week of Welcome will be held Tuesday, August 9 through Friday, August 12. The first day of fall classes begins Monday, August 15. The week will be filled with a variety of educational, social and informational programs. Students will be able to interact with faculty and staff, learn study and time management skills, and develop a sense of school spirit –Titan Pride – before hitting the books. The goal is to provide engaging opportunities that will lead to improved student success including course success, persistence and completion.
