Charlotte, NC – Guilford Technical Community College’s Small Business Center and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) North Carolina District Office as well as AARP will host a special veterans event 10 a.m. – noon on November 5 on GTCC’s Jamestown Campus as part of the second annual National Veterans Small Business Week, November 2-6, 2015.
Attendees can learn about special SBA programs for veterans, service-disabled veterans, active-duty service members eligible for the military Transition Assistance Program, reservists and National Guard members. Also eligible for these SBA veteran programs are current or widowed spouses of service members or veterans who died during service or of a service connected disability.
April Gonzalez, an SBA North Carolina veterans representative, will provide information to take the next step as an entrepreneur. In addition, Daniel Hyde, owner of Move With Life in Greensboro will discuss his experience as a veteran business owner. Daniel is a martial arts instructor and licensed massage therapist.
