JAMESTOWN, N.C. — Guilford Technical Community College is partnering with the North Carolina Center for Global Logistics to host the college’s first Transportation, Distribution and Logistics Job Fair exclusive to veterans. The event will be held 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, April 22 in Medlin Campus Center on GTCC’s Jamestown Campus. The event is free and open to the public.
“This job fair is an initiative to help our veterans get back to work and in a field that many of them are trained in,” said Dan Grigg, job fair organizer and career counselor at GTCC.
The job fair will showcase 28 companies that are actively hiring veterans in the transportation, distribution and logistics industries including Epes Transport System, Inc., FedEx Ground and Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. Positions include drivers, handling, shipping and receiving, distribution.
Funding for the event is provided through a grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro.
