Health care occupations and industries are expected to have the fastest employment growth and to add the most jobs between 2014 and 2024, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The industry is projected to generate 9.8 million new jobs—a 6.5-percent increase between 2014 and 2024.

“As one of the fastest growing industries, there are so many job opportunities in health care,” said Dan Grigg, Coordinator/Career Services, and organizer of the Medical Job Fair. “There’s also stability because there will always be a need for care. The industry also offers a wide range of job opportunities, whether you’re interested in hands-on care or being more behind the scenes with billing and coding.”

Attendance at last year’s medical job fair is proof of the demand. The event drew more than 450 job seekers who met with 30 employers.

This year’s job fair will feature fields including medical office administration, health care management, medical records/medical billing and coding, physical therapy assistant, dental assistant, dental hygiene, pharmacy technology, surgical technology, medical assistant, CNA, RN, LPN, radiography, EMT.
