Faculty Art Exhibit April 9-May 2 2015
The Advertising and Graphic Design Department at Guilford Technical Community College will present its third annual Faculty Art Exhibit April 9–May 2 in the rotunda of Gerrald Hall on GTCC’s Jamestown Campus, 601 E. Main Street.
An opening reception will be held 10 a.m.–noon Thursday, April 9. It is free and open to the public. For a map of the Jamestown Campus, click here.

NC Works: ‘1,000 in 100’ Initiative
Governor Pat McCrory launched the “1000 in 100” workforce development initiative on Sept. 25, 2014. The initiative is a fact-finding tour in which local workforce development teams will visit 1,000 businesses throughout North Carolina’s 100 counties during the next 100 days to learn the skill sets the state’s economy demands.
To kick off the initiative, the governor and Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker embarked on a listening tour on Sept. 25 to hear the concerns of company officials in finding, hiring and retaining skilled workers. As part of the three-city tour the governor, Secretary Decker and North Carolina Community College System President Scott Ralls visited Epes Transportation in Greensboro to speak with the executives of the state’s largest privately owned transportation firm as well as GTCC President Dr. Randy Parker and the college’s partnership with Epes.
The Cosmetology curriculum is designed to provide competency based knowledge, scientific/artistic principles and hands-on fundamentals associated with the cosmetology industry. Donald W. Cameron Campus
GTCC’s Donald W. Cameron Campus officially opened in August 2014 in northwest Guilford County. The 94,000-square-foot facility, houses three credit-seeking programs: Global Logistics Technology, Computer Technology Integration-Database Management Option and Computer Information Technology.
